Matthew Davenport isn’t used to being disliked. Indie Fierro is the first person in a long time who can’t seem to stand him, and that’s driving him crazy. Under normal circumstances he would take the hint and leave the young coffee shop owner alone, but he’s the only thing standing between her and a couple of loan shark goons who have been harassing her, so he keeps coming back day after day and hoping she doesn’t get annoyed with him enough to throw him out.
