Things can only go up from here. 

At least for Clara Monroe. Ever since she landed flat on her ass, she's taking stock of her failed relationship, and the life she thought she knew. She's stuck in a rutt- trapped in a town she hates, doubling down on self help and Rocky Road. 

She's got nothing but time to kill… and it's all with Conner Kent.

Conner isn't new to the scene, and he isn't new to Clara. Family ties have brought him back to Silas Grove, but things just don't feel the same. 

The only thing these two have in common is their history, and their chosen path on the outskirts.

Summer is bound to be a scorcher, and things are heating up in the greenhouses at Grady's Garden Center. Will these two stay out of each other's way? Or will they lower their guard and see just how very different things can look a second time around…
