Colette lived in Paris with her English father and French mother. In December 1939, her father took them to England. Wanting to contribute to the war effort, Colette joins the WAAFs as a radar operator. But she is recruited in the Special Operations Executive as a radio operator. At the end of her training she's separated from the others on her course and not sent on to France. This experience nearly breaks her - until she's given the chance to show her metal.
