Alex does what all hotel employees do: run errands, clean conference rooms, walk owners’ monstrous pets, grab fetishes and magic potions from vending machines… and reap ghosts. Normal hotel work — at least for Alex’s family’s hotel. It’s not such a bad job. He meets all kinds of wild characters, from three‑eyed perverted boglets to dog‑headed warrior nuns to exhausted goddesses just trying to get away for a weekend (and maybe secure a little help on the side). And that’s only on the second floor. With over six hundred rooms per floor — in this dimension alone — there’s always something to do. Alex actually likes the second floor… except for the six‑hundreds, where he has to do the reaping. That’s where they keep the worst of the worst. The forgotten ones. The ones just waiting for eviction. Today’s job should have been easy: reap one fallen priest, then head home for pizza and the season finale of Dwarf Detective Pompo with his grandfather. But the Hotel has other plans — sending Alex back into the past to deal with a demon and a suicidal girl who can't stay out of trouble, then flinging him across a far‑flung realm to chase the soul of the fallen. And that’s not even counting the things that somehow slipped into the Hotel… Things with too many teeth. Things with a taste for reaper flesh.
