At the end of a dinner party in their own house, the last guest asks Nell and Arthur Bowen — married twenty-two years — a single, unembarrassed question. And then she goes home, and leaves them to answer it.

A short, explicit story about an established marriage, one proposition made to both people at once, and the night that follows. No cheating, no deception, nobody kept in the dark — just a question a happy couple didn't know they'd been waiting to be asked.

Complete standalone. Explicit; intended for readers 18+.
