The hurricane has passed, but Westhaven is still drowning. Mia Torres’s abandoned disaster map reveals a deadly mistake: a flooded house was marked clear even though no rescue team ever entered it. With the network failing and every safe route closing, Mia and her lifelong friend Zack Cane join a dangerous search through the drowned streets. No powers. No alien technology. Just two friends, one failing signal, and a family running out of time. Set three months before Zack’s awakening in Zack Cane: The Earthborn Knight, this reader-exclusive prequel reveals the rescue that inspired Mia’s orange rover and forged the partnership at the heart of the Ark Knight Saga.
