Four masked men storm an armored car depot in broad daylight and vanish with six million dollars. For the city of St. Louis, it’s a crisis. For Detective Darren Cutright, it's the case of a lifetime: solve it, and he finally lands the Homicide transfer he's been chasing for years. But a heist this well executed is hard to unravel, and every witness becomes a suspect. Paired with a wisecracking new partner who talks more than he thinks, Darren has to track down the culprits before they disappear for good. A fast-paced prequel to the Detective Darren Cutright series, The Six Million Dollar Mistake is a gritty crime thriller about greed, betrayal, and the thin line between a perfect plan and a fatal mistake.
