Lucia has spent nearly her entire life training with sword and shield under one of the finest warriors in the Northern Realms. Now a young woman, she enters Karimport’s Spring Tournament to discover what those years have made of her.

But when a brutal fighter turns the games deadly, victory is no longer the only thing at stake.

With the crowd calling for blood and those she loves fearing the worst, Lucia must decide whether honor is worth the price of standing her ground.

For Lucia, the choice was made long ago.

Ballad of the Raven is a standalone fantasy featuring Lucia, a supporting character from J. S. Kwan’s Born of Blood and Fire. The story offers a glimpse into the wider world of the novel.
