Welcome to Bloodwood Academy, the one school I have no desire to attend. I purposefully didn’t put in an application. I prefer human schools. Magic isn’t something I want to use, at least not often. Imagine my surprise when a letter arrives at my aunt’s house telling me to report to Bloodwood Academy for the first day of my senior year. The academy for rich kids and kids with a ton of magic—neither of which category I fall into. There has to be a mistake, but no, some witch finder spell decided I have magic and a lot of it. Now, I’m stuck at this stupid school practicing magic, which I have no desire to learn. If that isn’t enough, someone clearly has it out for me, and after being viciously attacked, I realize it goes much deeper than that. When family I don’t know claims me, I’m asked to compete in the witch trials for a chance at a High Coven seat, but not all the High Coven members want that. They’ve grown a lust for power and won’t give it away easily. I’m left with only one question. Can I survive my first quarter of Bloodwood Academy, or will I be sent home in a body bag, unable to hold my own against the strongest witches in the Northwest Territory?
