1837: London is entering a new age of science and industry. Superstitious old ways seem to be dying -- and yet at the centre of this new, modern city stalks a vicious ghost by the name of Spring-Heeled Jack. 

Jack strikes without warning and vanishes without a trace. It is up to three investigators — Inspector Lea of the Metropolitan Police, journalist Simeon Effraim and amateur detective Lady Decharles — to find this terrible creature. They may not know who or what Jack is -- but they all know the terrible cost London must pay if the creature is not driven out.
