Scipio the Sciapod is very fair, for he detests every Roman equally, including himself. That’s why he became an assassin, and why he’s stayed in the business for 339 years. (It helps that he’s a slave—quitting isn’t exactly in his job description.) But one night, a mission reignites his doubts.
