Skye joined the military to defend her country. She never thought that it would all be for nothing, that she would see her President murdered on national television and then released from her military service before ever stepping foot on a ship. Now she has to figure out where to go from here, and what to do now that her dream is gone. She has to find purpose, whether that's in fighting back against the invaders or protecting those who can't protect themselves.
