All Liz wants to do is walk from the library to her empty college apartment and get out of the rain, so when an officer in an unmarked police car offers her a quick ride, she can't refuse.

But the cop isn't who he appears to be, and Liz finds herself waking up chained in his basement and being called by a different name. Liz tries praying to her roommate's God for help, but as more and more time goes by without anyone noticing her disappearance, she wonders if He's real, or helpful, at all.

As Liz tries to figure out a way to escape her captor's violent moods and psychological mind games, she scrapes together a desperate plan that might prove to end up getting her--and a handful of innocent bystanders--killed.
