Translator Saoirse Benoit is desperate to get out from under her fathers shadow. As a world-renowned translator of the old languages he's taught her all she knows in between travelling the continent. But it's time she stood on her own two feet, and the position at the prestigious Stormviel College of Magic is the perfect way to do it. 

As she starts translating, mysterious notes appear on her desk only to disappear once they are read. Saoirse, unsure if it's a trick of the sorcerers, ignores them. Until her communicator tells her his name, and that he can teach her how to use the magic within her veins. 

The deeper she goes, the more she learns the ruins of Daekrahm have secrets of their own. Will Saoirse uncover the what scares her mentor or succumb to the darkness that calls to her heart?
