My present mood and gloomy winter feelings were not unusual. For many years the thought of retirement terrified and dented my usual happy personality, I want to stay mentally active, and I enjoyed my work with a passion. However, the solution was close to hand and in a flash returned to the forefront of my mind; I had been fantasising over this possibility for years, and now the time and possibility was upon me. I was totally unaware of the fact, a new way of life awaited me and lingered with intent just around the corner from my present winter blues bout of depression. My lovely wife, aka the dragon lady, was the first to see the potential. She had a surprise for me and had been planning and even set events in motion. She was a secretive woman and was always planning something. My wife can be very inspirational. On this occasion, she was light years ahead of me and had it all planned out and was halfway to completion. She had built for us, specifically me, a new and very comfortable home by the sea in a warm country to inhabit in the six colder months of the year.
