One balmy November day at the Hemet West Craft Fair, I was selling books when a couple of fans rolled up. They had read my books and were very complimentary, but they wondered why Karen Grace hadn't gone back for the heirlooms. If you recall, Karen had to leave them in order to escape the men who were threatening her and Frieda. At the time, I fumbled to give them an answer, but then I thought why not? Why not make an epilogue that would show what happened? So I did. And here it is.
