Eight years before the events in Still Summer Nights, nineteen-year-old Asher arrives in Atlantic City, New Jersey tired and hungry. A chance encounter with a kind and handsome stranger gets Asher not only some food and shelter, but also a job doing something he enjoys. Asher begins to feel an attraction toward this kind and handsome stranger, but guilt over his past and his desires start to cloud Asher’s judgment and prompts him to make a choice. 

This Prequel can be read before reading Still Summer Nights and is told from Asher’s first person point-of-view.
