Taylor I’ve landed a job working as Mr. Abbott’s maid. When I hear music coming from upstairs, I like the sound of it. Someone is playing the piano, but I don’t know who it is. Mr. Abbott says that the third floor is off-limits to everyone. I wonder why he doesn’t want us up there. I find out that Stephanie, the maid that I share a room with, is going to be fired. She went upstairs, knowing the rules and because she didn’t listen, she’s going to lose her job; unless I do something about it. It’s up to me to make sure that she keeps her job, but I’m not about to stick around if she does. I refuse to take over someone’s job because of a silly mistake. Mr. Abbott’s I like Taylor. I may even be falling in love with her. I buy her a gift in the hope that she’ll take me up on my invitation to dinner and she does. I hope that this means that my luck is changing. Taylor is a little stubborn, but she has a fire in her and it’s been a long time since I’ve felt this way about a woman. I hope that she stays in my life, that I don’t lose her. When Ms. Dubois calls me and tells me that she’s on the third floor with Stephanie, I hurry home. I should’ve fired Stephanie when I had the chance, and if I would have this wouldn’t be happening now. Love blinded me. After, I get home. I see that they are about to open the door that hides my biggest secret. I will have to choose between letting Taylor walk away or come clean about what’s behind that door!
