I’ve spent most of my life moving from place to place to remain ‘undiscovered’. I’m Orla Illy and changing schools every two seconds because my ex-dragon-shifter mom decides it’s time to leave again, has never been great for my social life. Obviously, I know supernatural beings exist. But why would they care about us? And, surely believing that our nomadic life is the only way to keep safe from the demons of the Underworld, is taking it a bit far. Isn’t it? But when we move to Edge Rock Isle, a dreary coastal village in England, a strange incident happens on my first day at school and from then on things begin to take a turn for the weird. For one, my mom goes missing and if things couldn’t get any worse, my powers begin to manifest and they’re nothing like moms were. I’m beginning to realize that everything I was told is true. The demons have got my mom and they’re hunting me. I need to find her and save us both before the entire world is plunged into darkness for good.
