Lyn Wallace was suffocating. Her engagement to Van Sutton had turned into a pillow over her face, choking off all of her air. She was no stranger to this feeling, having grown up where money meant more than your character. She had been dragged to a middle-of-nowhere place called Vixen Falls where Van's grandparents wanted to stage the wedding. For an entire month, Lyn would be looking at wedding attire with the stuffiest people she had ever met while trying not to jump from the balcony. The only solace she has is her stolen visits to the falls; a place shrouded in magical mystery.  
Lyn could not deny its beauty or allure, even if she could not believe the magic the locals said it held. That was, until she came face to face with legend personified in the form of someone who knew her heart in a way she is sure she doesn't remember herself.
