Dream of Death A Soul Jumper origin story Vex Connor has never been fond of hunting monsters, but she doesn’t have much of a choice. Ever since that horrible day when several portals opened into earth, dangerous creatures have become an inevitable part of daily life. College is no longer an option, because hunting things and saving people has turned into a full-time job. As much as Vex would like to meet with friends or find a normal job, the world counts on her abilities. No hunter is as strong as a Soul Jumper, and without them the world will be lost. Reluctantly Vex joins her parents in another hunt. When they follow a dark creature into an abandoned hotel, their senses go into overdrive. Once they get separated, Vex knows this monster is not like the others they’ve killed. Has this one lured them into a trap…?
