Ru Blogh is supposed to be the next chieftain of the Caledonii people. Instead, his attention is focused on the lasses he can woo.  

One day he meets a maiden like no other -- the daughter of another chieftain, Oriana. She captivates him, body and soul. And he thinks the night will be theirs to share. 

Until his uncle tells him he can't touch the lass. 

The lovers don't realize that their chieftains have a much larger plan for them.
