Something has happened to the sacred soul bond called Batasurna. Once peaceful, now it’s feared as a violent threat to society. Laws have been enacted against it. And the mates are hunted.

Dalasne has sworn a lifetime of allegiance to the throne—to the queen that saved her life. When she goes to Erupea on a mission for the queen, she comes to face to face with her soulmate…and a choice she can’t make without consequences.

A native of Erupea, Antton wants nothing more than to see the queen of Imsz-Ordena dead. He won’t let anyone stand in his way. Not even the woman sworn to protect the throne.

Some betrayals don’t end quietly. They grow into something far worse.

(This story is a prequel to the Bound by Batasurna series).
