Eighteen-year-old apprentice wizard Brodia is shipwrecked with her mentor, Grand Wizard Preem, and the royal family. Stranded in a remote village, she struggles to master her flying magic needed to protect them and become a full wizard.

Meanwhile, a ruthless enemy grand wizard, disguised as a crippled nobleman, infiltrates the capital, setting deadly traps to kidnap Preem and Brodia’s families.
