At eighteen, Tabatha Soul has the whole world in front of her. Or does she? Six months ago she graduated high school top of her class while also earning an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice, with a Certificate of Crime Scene Investigation. Now her dad, a medical examiner, is pressuring her to cut short her gap-year and follow in his footsteps. But Tabatha loves collecting clues and helping the police solve crimes. So, when she’s sent to the scene of the hit-and-run of her former housekeeper and surrogate mother, she vows to find the culprit. With very little to go on, and the suspicious deaths of important community members drawing police resources away from the hit-and-run case, Gabriella Garcia’s case may go unsolved. Tabatha’s determination won’t let go, and she finds herself in the crosshairs of an unlikely suspect. Enjoy this free novella, the prequel to the Tabatha Soul Mystery Series, and learn if Tabatha chooses to help solve crime as a medical examiner, law enforcement, a forensic pathologist, or something else.
