When Evie moved to Brookdale, it looked like the perfect place. Crime was low and there was plenty of work. The women seemed to keep to themselves, but the men had stares that striped you down right to your soul. Everyone was human, or so she thought, until she met Stefan. There was something about the way he moved and looked at her that drew her in. She wanted to invite him in with every encounter, but then she saw him feeding on a woman in an alley.
