After a battle to save the elvin Empire, Lord Kyrr, a man without memory of his past, is returning with his surviving Personal Guard to their homeland. Using weapons inimical to magic, they wounded and drove off a dragon, but at terrible cost.

However, fate has not finished with Kyrr and the dragon… Though, wounded, the dragon has sought to hide and heal. But a wounded dragon is also a hungry one and he turns to the sole village nearby demanding tribute – and makes off with a girl.
