Violet is a forest nymph who desperately wants to see the world outside her home, the grove. But a magical barrier prevents her from leaving and everything else from coming in. The barrier is meant to keep Violet, her family, and the grove safe, but it's more like a prison for the little nymph.

'The Nymph's Escape' is a short story inspired by a tale told by Ilann, one of the main characters in The Eva Chronicles, a new fantasy book series by Livia Lance.
