“Chougule creates an eerie atmosphere from familiar details, including monsoon rain, funeral smoke, crow calls, and the sound of approaching anklets.” —The BookLife Prize

Perhaps the future is hidden from us for a reason.

Three teenagers. One book never meant to be read. One forbidden ritual.

We only wanted to know what lay ahead, but the answers came back cryptic. Confusing. Impossible.

Until they started coming true.

Red-eyed crows followed us. Omens of something that fed on our fear. Our despair. Fingerprints began appearing on our bodies. It crawled around the room at night, whispering, “Come, sit on my back.”

It was not going to stop until we no longer knew which thoughts were our own. Our only chance of survival lay in returning to where it all began.

Planchette Crows is a psychological horror novel blending Indian folklore, supernatural mystery, and a nostalgic coming-of-age story.

If you could see your future, would you dare look?
