Jinni, a Thai immigrant to the USA, is proud of her nail salon, the Purple Orchid which has been highly successful.    That is until she falls in love with and employs an illegal immigrant, Song.   When Song goes on the run from the Immigration Authorities Jinni becomes involved in the fall out which includes a violent crime and a trial in Atlanta.

Will the Purple Orchid be able to withstand the publicity that follows when Jinni and her customers speak out for justice?
