After surviving a plane crash Amber needs a reason to keep going. As the nightmare of the accident replays every night, her life has turned to a slow torture. Taking her mother’s advice she starts going to therapy. It is not the advice she gets or the relief of finally being able to talk to someone that helps Amber during this dark time but the instant attraction slowly turning into unforgivable love. Forbidden! This type of love is so utterly forbidden, but Amber needs it, craves for it. Lives for it. It becomes her sole focus, her only reason to wake up each morning. Angels Around Us was first published as part of Tease Me Contemporary Romance Collection. - written in first person present (have to note it since some people despise this) - falling for the therapist (forbidden love) - a slow burn romance - a healing journey from panic attacks and trauma - an emotional support dog Angel - it is Amber's emotional journey first and foremost and romance second. An emotional connection that grows over time. It is not a smutty romance - it covers several darker topics that can be triggering. Falling in love with Adriaan wasn't my intention when I started therapy. But everything about him is soothing: his composure, his voice, the way he knows just what to say to bring me out of my misery. It drew me in and I had no power to fight the attraction. I was fighting so many other things, fighting love shouldn't have been one of those. Loving Adriaan hurts. He is a good man, fair, honest and damn good at his job. He wouldn't risk it for me. For godsakes, why couldn't I love someone else?
