Riorik and Nordahs, two elves living in Rishdel, find themselves as an unlikely pair of friends but bound by history after Riorik’s father goes missing and is accused of killing Nordahs’s father. Determined to find his father and prove his innocence, Riorik learns the ways of the Rangers, an elvish military group his father was once a part of, before setting off with Nordahs and their newfound friend Hugh, who has his own dark history that threatens anyone near him.
