Democratic incumbent, and current mayor, Jade Weatherby faces off against independent candidate, Finn Haley, for the top job in Hayfield, Pennsylvania.

Amidst the political rivalry and social pressures put on them by the small town's populants, the mayoral candidates immediately fall for one another and build a romantic relationship they try to keep under wraps, but fail miserably.

If things couldn't get more complicated, a third candidate for mayor emerges with plans that could endanger the town, forcing Jade and Finn to make tough decisions about their careers and their growing relationship.
