Messiah Kindle Edition
André's abilities have always marked him as special, but fulfilling an ancient prophecy is enough to have him ostracized into the cosmos. Love was his motivation for preventing his parent's execution, now in Earth's refuge, love is his undoing again.
The Commander's daughter is off limits, but this kind of love is destiny, forcing Katrina and her alien paramour to elope. Word of André's survival reaches his home planet when his image is broadcast across the universe.
This time, his very existence may well trigger the destruction of a planet, his haven, Earth.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2024Again I found a good read in this book. I would not mind more stories in this series. This is part of Wicked Legends.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2014This book is well written and well edited. I wanted to rate it four and a half stars, mainly because I'm a romance reader and the romantic tension was resolved around the midway point, and I would have been satisfied with the story at that point.
I'm not crazy about sci fi, but I always had a thing for Spiderman/Mary Jane story and was able to relate it to that. I also didn't have a great deal of connection to either character, but I always find that difficult to obtain when reading third person, especially if the MC is male. The writer focuses more on the super hero aspect than the romance one, and the couple were married early in the book. But the book deserved praise because there weren't typo's, annoying repeated words, it followed a chronological timeline and it was original. Good Job!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2016I freely chose to review this ARC on my own and I was captured from the very first chapter! Colonel Matt Robbins captured an alien pod that wandered into the Earth's Galaxy and he was leery of what he'd find. He was unprepared for the stench that assaulted his nose as he stepped inside the pod. At first he thought the pod was empty until something moved in the waste...
Andre was exiled because of his eye color when the Emperor killed his mom and dad and sent him to die in space when he was only six years old. He never had a chance to go to school or make friends as they never stayed anywhere long enough, but after years of dreaming to some how be saved, he was unsure that the man standing inside his pod wasn't a dream too.
Hold on to your seats as Ms. Taylor takes you on the ride of your life as Matt and Andre do battle with his superiors and then fight for their lives when the Emperor finds out that Andre lives and invades Earth to kill Andre!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2014Annotation: In April of 2233, Colonel Matthew Robbins is sent into space. His mission is to intercept an alien vessel and execute any alien being onboard. What he finds is a young boy from the planet Zyclon named André. Aside from his psychic powers, tears of blood, and eyes that change from blue to red, there’s not much difference between André and a human boy. Messiah is the story of André, from his rescue to his death, and what it means to be human.
Review: The story is told through three time periods of André’s life. His arrival on Earth, his later teenage years, and as an adult with a teenage son. The jumps from time to time aren’t really transitioned well beyond the date under the chapter. You’re sort of left hanging wondering what just happend, but the story picks up it’s flow again rather quickly making it only a slight annoyance.
This is most awkward between André’s young childhood to the sudden teenager with a mouth, hormones, and a slight disregard for the rules. There were many times that I wanted to smack him upside the head, but most of those times, the other characters were on my wavelength, and occasionally even did the smacking. So, obviously those were intentionally done by the author, but there were a few too many moments for my liking.
My favorite moments of the story are between André and his dream girl Katrina. She not only balances his attitude nicely – which is needed, really – but she is also very clearly the only female that could handle André and his issues. I don’t want to create any spoilers, but trust me when I say there are some SERIOUS issues. Seriously. Katrina is very well written and I grow to like her more and more with each page that she is on.
The rest of the supporting cast – when that previously mentioned serious issue isn’t involved – are pretty excellent as well. Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I laughed, I sniffled, and I might have even had to wipe my eyes a time or two.
I received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2016Andre is a 5 year old alien that is sent into space to die.
Sam is in the Air Force and is sent to take care of the alien but on finding a malnourished child he cannot kill him. He brings Andre to Earth, hides who he is and he and his wife raise him.
Andre looks human but has some differences, most that Sam doesn't know about until his teen years. He turns into a mouthy strong willed teenager.
The story has interesting characters and is well written. Taylor is one of my favorite authors.
I was given this book for a honest review.
