Esmeralda “Esme” Green is trying her best to earn her marks at Salem Academy, but she keeps mixing up the directions in her spell book and can’t manage to spell “abracadabra” correctly no matter how hard she tries.

After one too many spells gone wrong, her professor finally suggests she be evaluated for dys-HEX-ia. This can’t come at a worse time since Esme is running for Class President against the most popular witch in school, Hesper Frost.

Unfortunately, Esme’s diagnosis gets into the wrong hands and soon she’s accused of not even being a “real” witch.

Can Esme and her trusted cat familiar, Rafael, prove to Hesper and the rest of the class that there’s nothing wrong with being a witch with a glitch?
